Inner healing prayer is purposeful prayer with a specific goal to have God’s truth replace misperceptions and lies perceived in trauma. Inner healing prayer asks the Lord for counsel on specific learned beliefs. The focus is on Jesus and what He wants to reveal about someone's woundedness, through the Holy Spirit.
 

Beatitude House's approach to inner healing prayer includes facilitated prayer, conversation, and recognition of God's power to help each of us be transformed through an encountering with Christ.
 

One of the tools we use  is Theophostic® Prayer Ministry, developed by Ed M. Smith. This is used in combination with other inner healing prayer   approaches. Together, these create a powerful framework within which individuals can receive healing from their past hurts. Some have described it as the spiritual version of EMDR.
